Happy 2025, Psalm listeners ~
I hope the New Year is unfolding well for you so far.
On New Year’s Day, I spent some time with a method I’ve used for the past few years, which involves scanning back over my year for highlights, challenges, and what was lifegiving. I then cast my vision forward and ask myself what I would like to see more of in 2025. This process is quite revealing, and I feel clearer now on what transpired this past year and how I’d like to head into the New Year.
This year, I feel drawn to finding a balance between body, mind, and spirit by incorporating small habits and practices that are life-giving, that energize me and bring me joy. For me, two things come to mind instantly: music and gardening. I’m going to be giving some thought to how to incorporate those activities seamlessly into my daily routine.
I’m sure you’ve been inundated with suggestions on how best to enter the New Year. But if you’re looking for more food for thought as you head into 2025, I’ve put together a free 12-page workbook to help us enter the New Year well, as we consider daily habits and practices that enhance our wellbeing in body, mind, or spirit.
This is especially for people who want to incorporate holistic, healthy habits but find it difficult to know where to begin. A friend asked if it would be ok to share it with his congregation, and of course I was happy for him to do so. If this workbook would be helpful to anyone in your circles, feel free to pass on this free resource.
If you’d like to explore this subject further, The Habits for the Spirit course begins next week. Read on for more details.
